What is an NFPA 80 fire door inspection?

NFPA 80 is the national standard for fire doors. It requires swinging fire door assemblies to be inspected and tested at least once a year, checking items such as labels, clearances, closers, latching hardware and hinges, with written records kept. Our fire-door certified technicians perform the inspection and repair what fails. Learn more.

What does AAADM-certified mean?

AAADM, the American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers, certifies inspectors to perform safety inspections of automatic pedestrian doors to the ANSI/BHMA standards. Our automatic door technicians are AAADM-certified.

How often should automatic doors be inspected?

At least once a year by an AAADM-certified inspector, plus a daily safety check by building staff. High-traffic doors benefit from more frequent preventive maintenance.

What types of commercial doors do you service?

Entry doors, automatic doors, aluminum storefront and glass doors, hollow metal doors and frames, interior doors, fire doors and fire escape doors, sliding doors and folding partitions, plus all of the hardware on them.

Do you install electrified door hardware and access control hardware?

Yes. We install and service electric strikes, electrified exit devices and locks, magnetic locks, power transfers, door position switches and request-to-exit devices, and coordinate with your access control provider.

Can you make an existing entrance ADA accessible?

Often, yes. Options include widening the opening, adding a low-energy automatic operator with push-button actuators, installing lever hardware, reducing opening force and correcting thresholds. We widened 36-inch storefront openings to 42 inches at an independent living facility.

What door hardware brands do you work on?

We service the major commercial hardware, automatic door and storefront manufacturers, including ASSA ABLOY brands, Allegion brands, dormakaba, Horton, Stanley Access Technologies, Adams Rite, Kawneer and many more. See brands we service.

Do you offer preventive maintenance and door surveys?

Yes. We offer preventive maintenance and inspections for automatic doors and other high-traffic openings, and can survey a whole building and give you a prioritized plan, as we did at the Embassy Suites and the convention center in Rogers.
